Management The management of Dr. Zakir Hussain Teachers' Training College, Laheriasarai, is dedicated to ensuring that the college stands as a national model institution. Dr. Zakir Hussain Teachers' Training College, located in Laheriasarai, holds the distinction of being the first B.Ed. college in united Bihar (comprising present-day Bihar and Jharkhand). Established on June 6, 1982, the college has pioneered teacher education, providing high-quality training and education to aspiring teachers. The college is named in honor of Dr. Zakir Hussain, the third President of India and a distinguished educationist known for his contributions to the field. The institution aims to uphold his legacy by fostering excellence in teaching and learning. The college management provides financial aid to deserving students, offering up to ₹50,000 annually on a merit-cum-poverty basis. To motivate students towards academic excellence, the management has introduced the Dr. A.R. Kidwai Gold Medal for the college topper in the University Examination. The Board of Trustees of Shafi Muslim High School, the parent body of the college, has initiated a lecture series on the "Islamic Concept of Education." This series aims to enhance trainees' understanding of educational concepts beyond the prescribed curriculum. Esteemed scholars are invited to deliver lectures, offering trainees a valuable opportunity to broaden their knowledge. Co-scholastic activities are organized regularly, following the Academic Calendar, to benefit students.
